Community Payback Order: Supervision
Interventions suitable for
Where there are clear needs identified at the Criminal Justice Social Work Report stage, including the LSCMI Quickscore of needs and risks.

Details of all Specific national or local scheme/intervention(s) available
All individuals subject to supervision are allocated a qualified social
worker. Interventions include targeting offence focused programme
work or referral to specialist agencies as required. No restrictions in relation to age, gender or offence although Community Payback Orders are available to individuals over 16. Specialist Youth Justice social workers are assigned to individuals under 18.
Possible Outcomes
1. For individuals to have a better understanding of the reasons behind their offending.
2. To offer support on any root causes, adopting a public health model.
3. To reduce reoffending.
Process for Assessment and/or inclusion in scheme/intervention
A comprehensive assessment of people’s suitability is undertaken during the preparation of the Criminal Justice Social Work Report.
Where no specific scheme/intervention is available, is there capacity to provide a bespoke service based on judicial request?
A person-centred plan will be developed for each individual.
