Recall to prison
Upon report of a breach, the Parole Board has the power to recommend the recall to prison of a person serving a sentence of 4 years or more, or to re-release any person who has previously been recalled to custody.
The latest data shows that during 2023/24, 87 determinate sentence prisoners were recalled to custody and a further 22 were issued a warning letter.
