Fiscal Fine

The Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service states that if a person has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with an alleged offence the Fiscal may, in certain circumstances, offer the opportunity to have the allegation dealt with outside of court and without getting a criminal conviction by paying a sum of money as a “Fiscal fine” or as compensation to someone who was affected by the alleged offence.

The levels of fine are set by the Scottish Government and are currently £50, £75, £100, £150, £200, £250 and £300.
