The purpose of imposing a mental health treatment requirement is to ensure that an individual who has been diagnosed with a mental health condition and/or learning disability which contributes to the individual’s offending receives support, care and treatment to enable them to improve their mental health in terms of their mental health needs. People who are made subject to such a requirement will be supported by East Renfrewshire Council Mental Health Team.
Possible Outcomes
This serves to aid compliance with the Order and promote the welfare of the person, whilst addressing their Mental Health and wellbeing issues
Process for Assessment and/or inclusion in scheme/intervention
Assessment re-suitability will be within Criminal Justice Social Work Reports on the basis of mental health assessment as to appropriateness for intervention and planned service provision.
