A Drug Treatment and Testing Order is a high tariff disposal for individuals with drug problems who might otherwise receive a custodial sentence.

Possible Outcomes

Managing/addressing significant addiction issues related to offending.

Process for Assessment and/or inclusion in scheme/intervention

Assessment re-suitability will be within Criminal Justice Social Work Reports. The purpose of a Drug Treatment and Testing Order is to target individuals whose offending is a direct result of their drug misuse, for example, those who steal to fund their habit and who are at direct risk of a custodial sentence.
