Community Payback Order Programme: Sexual Offences
Programme Name:
Moving Forward 2 Change (MF2C) (previously Moving Forward: Making Changes MF:MC)
Description:
MF:2C is accredited, groupwork programme aimed at adult men (18+) convicted of sexual offences who are assessed as moderate to high risk of further sexual offending and suitable for structured treatment. Core aims are to reduce risk, increase capacity to meet needs without offending, improve relationships, and support desistance. It is built on the “Good Lives Model”, focusing on helping participants pursue prosocial goals while managing risk factors. It typically forms part of a 3-year Community Payback Order with Programme and Supervision Requirements, or as part of a post‑custodial licence condition. The programme is delivered in modules, allowing content to be matched to individual treatment needs and risk formulation. There are three broad stages: pre‑group preparatory work; attendance at the main groupwork programme; and a maintenance/monitoring phase to consolidate skills and manage risk over the longer-term. The work is typically delivered in partnership with Dundee Community Justice Services with groupwork sessions being held at Friarfield House, Dundee.
