Moving Forward Making Changes available for Renfrewshire service users, men aged 18+ where convicted of sexual offences and assessed as appropriate on the basis of specialist risk assessments.

Possible Outcomes

Addressing reasons for sexual offending, and relevant wider issues.

Process for Assessment and/or inclusion in scheme/intervention

Assessment regarding suitability and eligibility will be within Criminal Justice Social Work Reports carried out by the Pathways service.

Connections focuses on a holistic approach, integrating a number of theoretical and practical models centred on the individual as a whole and emphasising affective cognitive and behavioural change.

Assessment regarding suitability as a programme requirement will be within Criminal Justice Social Work Reports provided by the Women’s Community Justice Service. This is generally utilised as a higher tariff disposal for women, as an alternative to custody.
