Aim/Purpose:

Improved health and wellbeing, reduced/managed/abstinence from substance/alcohol use. Desistance. The focus of the service is to support those with substance use issues/addictions. The service may link individuals receiving support for drug/alcohol issues into other relevant supports according to their risk and need.

Suitability criteria:

  • All genders
  • Middle-aged adult (36-55), Older adult (56 and older), Young adult (18-35)

Assessment/referral process:

  • Self-referral

Self-referral for men and women aged 18 and over is available to those who are interested in receiving support and attend a drop-in session. These are held Monday to Thursday, between 1.00pm and 3.30pm

Further Information:

A one – stop shop which offers a full range of drug and alcohol treatment and support services. Each is run by a team of staff of voluntary sector, NHS and social work staff. The easiest way for most people to get support from the Recovery Hub team is to attend a drop-in session. At the drop-in, the worker will listen, give advice and options, agree a plan and organise the next steps.
