Parole rejected

If early release is not agreed at the first review (i.e. parole is rejected), the Parole Board will reconsider the case at 12 month intervals until the person reaches their Earliest Date of Liberation (the two thirds point of the sentence or 6 months before the end of sentence depending on date of sentencing).

More information is available within the Scottish Parole Board Annual Report 2023-24 here.
