Investigation by Police
When a crime has been alleged and recorded, police will investigate reports to determine whether there is a sufficiency of evidence for the crime to be reported to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS).
For further information on policing priorities and strategic outcomes, you can find the “Annual Policing Plan 2024/25“.
