Sophie's role
In her role as Learning Support Officer, Sophie supports the Learning, Development, Innovation and Caledonian (LDIC) team by maintaining the Learning Management System and providing advice and support for the development and delivery of digital learning products.
Background
Prior to joining Community Justice Scotland, Sophie worked as Learning Content Lead for an e-learning platform and previously worked for a Member of Scottish Parliament, supporting research and communications work across a range of policy areas including justice.
Sophie holds an LLM in Human Rights Law from the University of Edinburgh, with a focus on children’s rights in policy and practice across Scotland. She is particularly interested in centring lived experience and ensuring that people’s voices shape the decisions that affect their lives. Outside of work, Sophie volunteers with RNIB’s Social Action Team and is passionate about disability rights and inclusion.
