Details of all Specific national or local scheme/intervention(s) available

An action plan will be developed for all adults sentenced to a community payback order. The areas that will be addressed during the order will be outlined in an action plan informed by the Level of Service Case Management Inventory (LSCMI) assessment. South Lanarkshire has developed a Structured supervision programme which includes a range of areas to help support people to address any unmet welfare needs and support a reduction in reoffending. Interventions can include working with service users to secure housing, employment, maximise income or register with a GP. Recently a recovery module has been developed in partnership with the Beacons recovery hubs to enhance support for persons experiencing substance use issues.

Possible Outcomes

Successful completion of order and improvements in, for example, employability skills, access to housing and benefits.

Process for Assessment and/or inclusion in scheme/intervention

Social work assessment of suitability as part of a court report.
