Community Payback Order Treatment: Mental Health

Where the order contains a mental health treatment requirement an individual must submit to treatment by or under the direction of a registered medical practitioner or a registered psychologist (or both) with a view to improving the offender’s mental condition.

Any Mental Health Treatment Requirement would be initially assessed at the CJSWR stage. If the Requirement is made, the Supervising Officer will liaise with the Community Mental Health Team and Community Psychiatric Nurse in relation to treatment and assessment of effectiveness.
