Where the order contains a mental health treatment requirement an individual must submit to treatment by or under the direction of a registered medical practitioner or a registered psychologist (or both) with a view to improving the offender’s mental condition.

Justice Social Work will make an assessment in partnership with colleagues from the Community Mental Health Team to deliver interventions that meet mental health treatment needs. Requirements of this nature should be made only after full assessment.
