Aim/Purpose:

Foundations for Change offers bespoke support to those within the justice system / or have been involved in the past / or have pending convictions. We ensure participants are supported in the community, or in the run up to their release from prison, and linked up with the right support at the right time (such as housing advice, drugs and alcohol support, benefits advice, GP registrations, health and mental well-being, food support, hobbies, obtaining ID).  Some support may look like; – 1-1 support with an allocated member of staff – Signposting/referrals – Empowering & educating individuals so that they know what their rights are when disclosing their criminal record – Advocacy support – Life skills – Connecting to the community. Apex Scotland firmly believes in a future beyond your past and works to build on your well-being, autonomy, trust and emotional regulation so that you are equipped to achieve your short & long term goals.

Suitability criteria:

  • All genders
  • Middle-aged adult (36-55), Older adult (56 and older), Young adult (18-35)

Assessment/referral process:

  • Any agency, Court, GP, Health professional, Self-referral, Social work
