2021 update: Unpaid work was significantly impacted by covid with two periods of national suspension. Unpaid work resumed in a group setting in April 2021 but with reduced staff to client ratios to maintain social distancing. Other activity has increased in use but cannot be more than 30% of an Order. Changes to the Public Health guidance in August 2021 have allowed an increase in the staff to client ratio. Possible Outcomes

Indoor workshop and external placements, and also a range of individual placements for those who find group working more difficult. 100% satisfaction report from recipients of Unpaid Work and 78% satisfaction reported by those who were subject to it.

Suitability for Unpaid Work is assessed at the Criminal Justice Social Work Reports stage.
