Where the order contains a mental health treatment requirement an individual must submit to treatment by or under the direction of a registered medical practitioner or a registered psychologist (or both) with a view to improving the offender’s mental condition.

There is an integrated mental health nurse in Justice Services. For all Treatment Requirements, Justice Services works in partnership with the relevant service provider, including NHS Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), Change Grow Live (CGL) Community Assessment and Recovery Service (CARS), Community Alcohol & Drugs Service (CADS) etc.
