Where the order contains a drug treatment requirement an individual must submit to treatment by or under the direction of a specified person with a view to reducing or eliminating the offender’s dependency on, or propensity to misuse, drugs.

For all Treatment Requirements, Justice Services work in partnership with the relevant service provider, including NHS Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), Change Grow Live, Community Assessment and Recovery Service (CARS), Community Alcohol & Drugs Services (CADS) etc. There is also a highly developed and responsive recovery community in Forth Valley supported by Recovery Scotland. A CGL worker is located in Justice Services part-time.
