Aim/Purpose:
The Caledonian Women & Children’s service support heterosexual women who have experienced domestic violence from a male.
Statutory order – men who have been arrested with domestic violence may be told by the court to get help from the Caledonian service. This is a voluntary service as far as the women are concerned – they can choose not to engage.
This service provides a minimum of 4 safety planning sessions- this happens when the perpetrator doesn’t get the groupwork program from the court as a court order. If the man gets given a 2-year program, the workers will help the victim for the same length of time.

Women and Children whose male partners are subject to statutory participation in Caledonian Groupwork Service.
