Aim/Purpose:
HorseBack UK inspires positive change, encourages confidence and self-esteem, and promotes recovery in an individual. Using horsemanship and outdoor activities, Horseback UK deliver nationally accredited personal development and wellbeing programmes which offer participants new coping strategies, life skills and the tools to build resilience. Working alongside Aberdeenshire Council, Horseback UK have developed several programmes to fulfil the needs within the local community and can offer many different opportunities.

Ages 16-66 years – Currently Unemployed – Live in Aberdeenshire The programme is aimed at those wishing to achieve positive change, increase confidence, motivation and self-esteem, and prepare to re-enter the world of work.

Based on the Horseback UK’s farm and using horses, the Exploring and Improving Wellbeing programme sits within a personal development and employability remit. The programme takes place over three months with initial online input, a non-residential week at Horseback UK and further online follow up and support.
