Steve Kirkwood
Steve's role
Steve has conducted research on community justice in Scotland since 2005. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Social Work at the University of Edinburgh, where he teaches and conducts original research on criminal justice social work and related subjects.
Background
From 2005-2009, he was a Research Officer at the Scottish community justice charity, Sacro, where he evaluated a range of criminal justice services. He has extensive experience engaging with practitioners and policy makers on matters related to community justice and restorative justice and his work has been published in a range of international journals.
