Justice Social Work Structured Deferred Sentence service will be launched and available by May 2022. Staff have been recently recruited into post and are completing their induction into Court services, including the future provision of bail assessment and supervision.

Possible Outcomes

Opportunity for people to avoid being further embedded with the justice system.
A community-based sentence can facilitate maintaining family connections, employment and pro-social influences.  Provides opportunity for increased access to services and enhanced support. An intervention for offence-focused work.

As part of the assessment for disposal within a Justice Social Work Report.
