Supervision

Details of all specific national or local scheme/intervention(s) available

Supervision requirements include: Offence Focused Interventions on a one-to-one basis to reduce the risk of reoffending. Interventions are tailored to meet the specific needs of the service user, the nature of the offence and any learning needs identified by the LSCMi (risk and need case management tool) assessment.
Currently the one-to-one intervention is provided using a cognitive behavioural approach to enable service users to understand the cycle of their offending.

Possible Outcomes

Offence-focused work can reduce the risk of reoffending, enabling individuals to promote pro-social behaviours/thinking and maintaining community integration.
It affords the Service User the opportunity to link in with relevant employment services, supporting reintegration into the work place.

Process for assessment and/or inclusion in scheme/intervention

Assessment is conducted as part of the Criminal Justice Social Work Report prepared for sentencing.
