Drug and Alcohol support is provided by NHS: Borders Addiction Services and third sector Wearewithyou.

Manage, reduce or stop drug or alcohol use, engender positive lifestyle choices and individual responsibility.

Identified through assessment for Court Report or following implementation of the Community Payback Order.
Relevant information re. funding for the programme
Funding would appear to be on a short term rolling budget for third sector organisations. This provides a lack of long term development of service provision and security to staff and service users.

Shine: SACRO

Shine Service offers Throughcare to Women in the Borders. In addition to Voluntary through care offered and provided by Criminal Justice Social Work.
Possible Outcomes
Aim to meet the distinct needs of women in the justice system through mentoring. Through the development of a jointly agreed plan work towards achieving goals and ambitions. Support is provided on a range of factors that can influence a desistance in offending behaviour.
