Details of all Specific national or local scheme/intervention(s) available

These are provided by an in-house Caledonian and Groupwork Team. Moving Forward and Making Changes (MFMC) is a sex offender treatment programme. Caledonian is a programme for perpetrators of domestic abuse.

Possible Outcomes

Completion of treatment programme aims to reduce the risk of harm the individual presents to others and the likelihood of any further analogous offending.

Process for Assessment and/or inclusion in scheme/intervention

Assessment for suitability is carried out by Justice Service social workers via a Criminal Justice Social Work Report. A period of structured deferred sentence may be requested at first calling of the Criminal Justice Social Work Report to provide opportunity for a social worker to carry out some structured work with the individual to assess suitability and motivation to engage with a Community Payback Order with programme requirement prior to it being imposed.
