Community Payback Work Team (Justice Social Work Service)

The Community Payback Work Team in East Lothian provide individual placements for those unable to undertake a work group, primarily within charity shops and other volunteering opportunities including the Ridge project. The work groups provide various opportunities to benefit all local communities throughout East Lothian.

For example, The Community Payback Work Team have worked in partnership with tenancy support schemes to clear and upgrade gardens for residents with mental health issues. There are regular seasonal groundwork projects at Belhaven Hospital and Cockenzie House, and where possible those subject to unpaid work hours support the Rangers service at Yellowcraig.
