Specific interventions can be made available by Argyll and Bute Addictions Team (ABAT). Different people have different routes to recovery and interventions could consist of preparatory and motivational interviewing, structured psychological interventions, medical treatment to directly address issues of dependence, relapse prevention support, or residential treatment.

Assessment for a drug treatment requirement would be via Criminal Justice Social Work Report and if appropriate specialist assessment by ABAT to determine the most suitable and available intervention.
