Rebecca Proctor

Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive

Rebecca Proctor

Rebecca's role

Rebecca provides executive support to the Chief Executive of Community Justice Scotland. This includes diary management and organising the Chief Executive’s meetings, events and keynote speeches. She brings her skills and experience in management to support a very busy schedule.

Background

Originally from Canada Rebecca is the international member of CJS having arrived in Scotland in August of 2019.

Rebecca brings to CJS 13 years’ experience in the public sector providing administrative and financial support to the Province of Manitoba fulfilling roles in the departments of Education, Training, Apprenticeship and Post-Secondary Education and Labour Market Outcomes.  This work supported Manitobans in their education and training aspirations by creating access to provincial and federal funding schemes.

Rebecca provided support to some of the most vulnerable community members in Winnipeg’s North End. This included conducting job searches, writing resumes and identifying  community services that could support   people who were recently liberated, and their families.  This work inspired Rebecca to join the CJS team. Alongside her career, she has volunteered for Siloam Mission preparing meals for people experiencing homelessness and as an English language tutor for refugees and newcomers to Canada.
