Pauline's role

Pauline is responsible for the Strategy & Insight, Marketing and Internal Communication teams within the Scottish Government. Her work includes leading the development and delivery of communications strategy, public information and social marketing campaigns to help improve lives in Scotland. Her team also promote Scotland’s reputation to international audiences.

Background

Pauline’s most notable work includes initiatives for Road Safety, Climate Change, Equalities and a user-centric Parental Audience Strategy. She is also a member of the Brand Scotland Strategic Partnership, driving a cross-organisation collaborative strategy.

A fellow of the Marketing Society, Pauline was awarded Marketing Star of the Year in 2017 for the efficacy of her work and was subsequently the Chair of the Marketing Star Awards for 2018 and 2019. She led her team to win Marketing Team of the Year and Creative Client of the Year 2020. Pauline was also part of a group of female leaders who brought the successful WACL Gather to Scotland to promote gender equality in the workplace.

Passionate about creativity and marketing as a lever to affect positive societal change, Pauline is a guest lecturer at universities and a key note speaker at conferences.
