Inesa's role

Inesa joined Community Justice Scotland as RJ Administrative Officer and moved to RJ Development Officer’s role in March 2023. Working with the Restorative Justice National Team within CJS and partner organisations, she supports the delivery of the vision and outcomes provided by the Restorative Justice Action Plan. Her responsibilities include ensuring effective and varying communication around Restorative Justice as well as stakeholder and public engagement by facilitating participation events, identifying new and creative methods to support messaging and improvement in awareness and understanding of Restorative Justice and its benefits for services and communities.

Background

Originally from Lithuania, Inesa has been living and working in Edinburgh for the past 10 years across different sectors, continuously striving for professional and personal growth and development. Her academic background lies in linguistic studies. Inesa has a degree in English Philology (Literature & Linguistics) and a diploma in teaching English as a foreign language. Passionate about words, storytelling and communication, Inesa teaches and provides translation services, also writes for the International Contemporary Puppetry Critical Platform funded by Creative Europe and facilitated by Puppet Animation Scotland in partnership with three other European countries.

As a firm advocate for equality, inclusion, fairness and opportunities, Inesa feels privileged to work for Community Justice Scotland and contribute her skills to build an informed, sustainable and caring society we all want to live in.
