Course overview: This two day course provides an overview of the use of the SARA tool to assess the risk of violence in the context of domestic abuse. Delegates begin by exploring the development of the SARA tool and the structured professional judgement approach which underpins the risk assessment. The course provides guidance in the application of the tool including risk factors, formulation, scenario planning, risk management planning and summary judgements.
Joining criteria: This course is only open to social workers involved in the assessment and intervention of domestic abuse.
