Where the order contains a drug treatment requirement an individual must submit to treatment by or under the direction of a specified person with a view to reducing or eliminating the offender’s dependency on, or propensity to misuse, drugs.

In addition to the Drugs Treatment & Testing Order, a Drugs Treatment Requirement is available, and would involve close liaison between the individual’s Supervising Officer, and the local Substance Use Misuse Recovery Team to monitor progress and assess effectiveness.
