Aim/Purpose:
Floating Housing Support Service is an outcomes focused service, working with individuals for a period of 6-9 months to enable them to develop the skills to independently maintain and sustain a tenancy and prevent repeated homelessness.
The service provides person-centred, wrap around support, working in a trauma-informed way. Workers build relationships with the people, walk alongside to assist them to sustain their tenancy avoiding homelessness.
Suitability criteria:
- All genders
- All ages
Assessment/referral process:
- Self-referral
The service will work with any individual with their own tenancy or moving into their own tenancy (regardless of tenure – social landlord, private let, owner occupier etc). Referrals can be made by anyone – these are submitted to a central point within PKC and allocated to a provider within the area.
