Community Payback Order Supervision

Where the order contains an offender supervision requirement, an individual must attend appointments as specified by justice social work for the purposes of promoting rehabilitation.

Further Information:

Reduced likelihood of reoffending, due to successful completion of work such as victim empathy, better understanding of their own behaviour which resulted in offending. This includes offending in relation to sexual crimes and domestic violence. Further benefits may include possible increased levels of self-esteem and positive outlook, that in turn may lead to increased opportunity of employment. Other areas of an offender’s life which can be improved via the supervision process are housing, financial situation (e.g., dealing with debt), mental and physical health, dealing with relationships, addictions/substance misuse.
