Aim/Purpose:

Phoenix Families provides support to anyone 16+ concerned about someone else’s alcohol or drug use. Family Connections provides support to parents and carers of young people (11-21, 26 if care experienced) who are concerned about a young persons alcohol or drug use. We provide concerned loves ones with tools, support, and information, to help them navigate and cope with the impact that alcohol and/or drug use can have on their families and their own wellbeing. We offer: · Confidential 1:1 support based on the individual’s needs. · Intensive support to parents/carers of 11-26 year olds who are concerned about a young person’s alcohol and/or drug use · Emotional support · 5 Step Method Intervention · Supply Naloxone and provide Naloxone and Overdose Awareness training. · CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) · Support to help improve communication and setting boundaries. · Group support · Peer mentoring · Signposting to services · Drug and alcohol education and training · Wellbeing support · Outreach in local communities.

Assessment/referral process:

  • Any agency, Self-referral

Telephone referral by either professionals or individual looking for support through self-referral. Assessment are undertaken by Phoenix Futures Family Service.
