Aim/Purpose:
Women to receive a needs and risk led approach specifically targeted to meet their needs. The Court Screening Service aims to reduce the risk of remand for women and if deemed suitable they can be referred to universal services and/or receive support from third sector agencies.
Suitability criteria:
- Female only
- Middle-aged adult (36-55), Older adult (56 and older), Young adult (18-35)
Assessment/referral process:
- Self-referral, Social work
Any female 18+ appearing from Custody Court at Kilmarnock or Ayr Sheriff Court.
