Justice Social Worker supervises compliance with a Drug Treatment and Testing Order and reports monthly to the Court on progress and compliance.
Justice Social Worker joint works case with relevant services e.g. Substance Misuse & Mental Health Liaison Nurse / Community Detox Nurse / Recovery Support Workers.

Reduction in consumption of substances, or abstinence.
Reduction in risk of harm to self and others.
Reduction in risk of reoffending.
Process for Assessment and/or inclusion in scheme/intervention
Court request Drug Treatment and Testing Order Assessment.
Justice Social Work and Substance Misuse Liaison Nurse then assess the individual’s suitability as per local arrangements.
Should the individual be assessed as an appropriate candidate a proposed Treatment Plan is outlined to the Court for consideration.
Where no scheme / intervention is available, is there capacity to provide a bespoke service based on Judicial request?
Bespoke services have been delivered locally on request, specifically in the imposition of Drug Treatment and Testing Orders for individuals whose only ‘drug use’ relates to alcohol.
