Aim/Purpose:

Supporting unpaid carers, young and adult in Moray, to ease their caring role, have more of a life of their own and be better able to continue caring though greater focus on their own health and wellbeing. Support to include: – Carer support planning – Advice and information – Learning opportunities – Access to respite/short breaks for carers – Emergency/future planning – Peer support – Counselling.

Suitability criteria:

  • All genders
  • All ages

Exclusions:

Must be an unpaid carer in Moray.

Assessment/referral process:

  • Any agency, GP, Health professional, Self-referral, Social work

Professionals complete a referral form (available on website) on behalf of the carer and email/post to the service. Individuals may contact the service by phone, email, drop in… Depending on what it is, their enquiry may be actioned there and then or, if they wish to be registered with the service, they are sent/given a registration form to complete and return (also available on website).
