Aim/Purpose:
Moray Rape Crisis provides trauma-informed support, information and advocacy for anyone aged 11 and over on the Moray area who has experienced any form of sexual violence- whether recently or in the past. Services include: Emotional support for adults Advocacy for adults (help to navigate the justice process, where a survivor chooses to report to the police) Groupwork for adults Emotional support and advocacy for young people aged 11 to 18 (the Rise Up project) Emotional support and advocacy for survivors with a learning need or disability (the Side-By-Side project) First language support in Polish. Moray Rape Crisis also works with young people aged 11 to 25 in secondary schools, FE/HE and youth services across Moray to prevent sexual violence through delivering awareness-raising workshops on understanding consent.
