Aim/Purpose:

Moray Food Plus originally provided just a foodbank service but over time has developed a variety of early intervention and support services to provide a more holistic approach to poverty and hardship. We develop services based on identifiable need and dignity. Our core function is still to provide emergency food provision to people experiencing food insecurity across Moray. In the year 2023 – 24 we received 4,184 referrals and supported 9,460 people.

Suitability criteria:

  • All genders
  • Middle-aged adult (36-55), Older adult (56 and older), Young adult (18-35)

Assessment/referral process:

  • Social work

Moray Food Plus has volunteering opportunities for people aged 18+ of any gender. Justice social work to contact MFP to discuss availability of hours and suitability of candidate for tasks.
