Aim/Purpose:

The Garden Project offers adults a gardening pathway to social inclusion and employment. Delivered by Sacro’s educational gardeners and support workers, who guide participants through weekly practical activities and online learning. Teamwork, focus and determination to succeed are strongly encouraged. Participants are mentored to make healthy and permanent lifestyle changes for their own long-term wellbeing. The Garden Project will work with people who have been involved in offending or face other barriers to employment and social inclusion. The service has two sites: Tollcross Park and Bellahouston Park in the City of Glasgow area.

Suitability criteria:

  • All genders
  • All ages

Assessment/referral process:

  • Other, Self-referral, Social work

Referrals come from Social Work, Third Sector, other Sacro services and self-referral.
