Aim/Purpose:

Barrhead Housing is a key provider of social rented housing in East Renfrewshire. Founded in 1986, we are a community based and community led housing association providing housing throughout East Renfrewshire and operating mainly in Barrhead, Neilston, Thornliebank and Newton Mearns. We deliver secure homes by providing good quality, affordable, well maintained rented housing to people with a need to be housed. Our qualified staff team provide dedicated personal customer focused services locally from our office in the Main Street in Barrhead. We are committed to continuous improvement.

Assessment/referral process:

  • Self-referral

Anyone over the age of 16 can approach for Housing Options or Homelessness assistance or apply to our housing waiting list. Apply for a house with Barrhead Housing Please use the provided link to fill out our housing options form. Upon receiving your completed form, we will promptly send you the housing application form.

Housing Options Form IF YOU FIND YOURSELF HOMELESS Local Authorities have a statutory duty to help anyone who finds themselves dealing with a homeless situation. Out of Hours Service Phone 0800 052 0180 if you become homeless when offices are closed. They can arrange a temporary place for you to stay. They will also arrange an homeless interview the next working day.
