Aim/Purpose:
Heavy Sound provides lived experience mentoring and practical support to remand and convicted prisoners in HMP Edinburgh, and people involved in the criminal justice system in the community in East Lothian.
We help change lives by supporting immediate needs, and encouraging people to make positive choices and overcome barriers to engagement.
Suitability criteria:
- All genders
- Middle-aged adult (36-55), Older adult (56 and older), Young adult (18-35)
Exclusions:
Those who have offences relating to children and young people.
Assessment/referral process:
- Any agency, Self-referral
