People over 16, living in Dumfries and Galloway and worried about their own or someone else’ drug or alcohol use. Initial appointment may be over the phone or face to face. Current drug or alcohol use will be discussed so that staff understand what help is needed. This will also involve discussing other aspects of life and how people are feeling generally. People will be asked what help they think they need now and what plans they want to make for their future. They will then be matched with a member of staff who will be their main point of contact. Together, next steps will be planned, as will any treatment that might be needed.
