Aim/Purpose:
Volunteer Dumfries and Galloway is part of Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway and exists to support volunteering and volunteers across the region. The local third sector includes organisations that are there to improve the lives of the people and communities of Dumfries and Galloway. Their vision is to improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and communities in Dumfries and Galloway by working in partnership.
What is volunteering?

Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway have developed a new mobile app, DGLocator which maps useful services across the region. DGLocator is maintained and updated by them. Already over 1100 services are featured from more than 700 organisations and each entry includes, if available, the service and organisation names, a description of the service, opening hours, and contact details, including phone, email, and website.
DGLocator works with your mobile device to allow you to easily access all contact methods and, if an exact postcode for the service is available, it can also direct the user to its location using your mobile device’ map app. The app is available to download at the following links or by scanning the QR codes accessed via the Third Sector S&G website: Android – Google Play and Apple – App Store.
