Aim/Purpose:

Improved wellbeing and employability. THRIVE to Keep well programmes support adults who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health and wellbeing challenges. Participants come together in groups of women, men or mixed genders and develop their skills, knowledge and awareness of their own personal health & wellbeing. Participants attend a group session for 16 weeks, for 4.5 hours per week, developing their social networks, improving their personal development and moving towards a more positive destination going forward.

Suitability criteria:

  • All genders
  • Middle-aged adult (36-55), Older adult (56 and older), Young adult (18-35)

Assessment/referral process:

  • Social work

THRIVE programmes are suitable for adults (18 years plus), who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges. Participants should be ready to take part in group discussions and activities and commit to the 16 weeks of attendance. A facilitator for the group will contact the participant, before the group starts and there is a pre -programme session for participants to attend and make their minds up. Criminal Justice Social Work (CJSW) Referral.

The 16 week programme is designed to help participants to improve their knowledge and management of stress, anxiety, confidence and self development skills, also motivational goal setting skills to enable health behaviour change. There is also a NHS keep well assessment as part of the course.
