Aim/Purpose:

Provision of free, short-term support to help people feel well, empowered and linked locally. Many of the WELL Aberdeenshire team members are peer colleagues who have lived experience of living with mental ill health. This means they have some understanding of what others are going through and can support them on their journey with understanding and compassion.

  • All ages

Assessment/referral process:

  • Self-referral

Anyone aged 16 – 65 years who lives in Aberdeenshire and is looking for ways to improve their mental health and wellbeing. Support can be accessed by contacting Penumbra WELL Aberdeenshire via email WELL.Aberdeenshire@penumbra.org.uk

Further Information:

The WELL Aberdeenshire service is flexible and can take place over the phone, through video call or in and around the person’ local community. 1st Response is part of the WELL service and it’s designed to offer short term support over the weekend if a person is feeling distressed or reaching a point of crisis or overwhelm.

The team are available Saturdays and Sundays between 5pm and 9pm. Just call the freephone line to speak to someone: 0800 135 7950.
