There are local Unpaid Work Placements serving West Dunbartonshire. These placements include Environmental, Landscaping and Gardening Services. Placements include Knowetop Farm, Local Churches, Older People’s Home, Schools, Charities and Community Gardens. Charities include: CHAS, Barnardo’s, Salvation Army, Sue Ryder, DACA and Food share.
Possible Outcomes
Outcomes for the community include a greater awareness of Community Justice, a greater degree of visibility for the public, increasing public confidence in Justice Services. The Community also benefit from improved local amenities with more attractive places to live encouraging area being used for legitimate purposes as the community has pride in their area.
Outcomes for Service Users may include increased interpersonal skills, confidence in working in a variety of work placements with their peers and educators. Practical skills will be enhanced in preparation and support of joining mainstream employment.
Process for assessment and/or inclusion in scheme/intervention
Individuals are assessed via a Criminal Justice Social Work Report. Alternatively included by Sheriff at Level One at point of disposal from Court.
