Details of all Specific national or local scheme/intervention(s) available
Interventions provided by case manager or specialist services may include motivational enhancement, relapse prevention, trauma counselling and support provided by Building Futures detailed below. The individual experiences difficulty with drug misuse however a chronic drug dependency is not established. A supervision requirement must be imposed.
Possible Outcomes
Substance use is reduced or stopped and drug related offending decreased. Improved ability to manage high risk-situations, ability to identify triggers and develop coping strategies. Improved physical and emotional health.
Process for Assessment and/or inclusion in scheme/intervention
At Criminal Justice Social Work report stage. Support and interventions may be provided as part of supervision requirement.

Young People
Programme Title and Provider
Treatment: drugs; Youth Justice
Details of all Specific national or local scheme/intervention(s) available
Young People can be required to attend drug treatment as part of their Community Payback Orders. This service would be provided by North Lanarkshire Integrated Addiction Services.
Possible Outcomes
The young person will address their addiction which would hopefully assist in the reduction of offending and them gaining a more stable lifestyle.
Process for Assessment and/or inclusion in scheme/intervention
Through the Criminal Justice Social Work Report, where the specific need if identified in the Criminal Justice Social Work Report.
Interventions suitable for
Adults living in North Lanarkshire who could benefit from one-to-one support to progress towards a life free from addiction and mental health struggles.
Programme Title and Provider
The Breakthrough service is provided by Blue Triangle in partnership with North Lanarkshire’s Alcohol and Drug Partnership and the CORRA Foundation.

Breakthrough is an innovative service provided by Blue Triangle, delivering a trauma informed, person centred approach to supporting individuals throughout their recovery journey.
The Breakthrough service provides direct support and engagement in a connected community model to empower people to unlock their full potential.

Reduced impact of addiction issues / mental ill health.
Promote and sustain recovery.
Process for Assessment and/or inclusion in scheme/intervention
Direct referral to service provider, by phone or e mail following assessment.
Individuals can self-refer or be referred by others involved in their support.
