Supervision is delivered by Justice Social Workers as per Government Guidance.
There are 3 Justice Social Workers based in Lewis and Harris.
There is 1 part-time Justice Social Worker based in Uist who is responsible for the Uist & Barra service delivery.
One team leader for the service.
When someone is subject to Supervision, we undertake accredited risk assessments to inform us of the individual’s risk/need level and tailor our contact and focus accordingly in line with national standards.
Supervision focuses upon monitoring, risk management, offence focused discussion and offering reparative and rehabilitative opportunities – specific to the individual’s needs. Support is offered as well as intervention relating to the individual’s needs.
Possible Outcomes
Individuals have the opportunity to address factors which increase their risk of reoffending.
Risks posed by individual (to self and others) can be managed within the community.
Process for Assessment and/or inclusion in scheme/intervention
Request for completion of a Criminal Justice Social Work Report would focus an assessment of suitability and risk regarding any Community payback Order.
